The Holtec ES121 crosscut station is the traditional stationary package crosscut model from Holtec, the renowned German manufacturer of timber cutting machinery. Designed to cut timber and lumber packages up to 175 x 175 cm with exceptional precision and reliability, the Holtec ES121 crosscut station is a proven choice for sawmills, pallet plants and packaging producers.
Two configurations of the Holtec ES121 crosscut station
The ES121 is available in two configurations, so the station can be matched to your floor space and workflow:
SHK — fixed saw, mobile package
The SHK model uses a mobile carriage with a parallelogram system that lets the opening separate after each cut. This gives cleaner saw positioning for the next cut and improves precision to a ±1 mm tolerance. Because the saw and operating platform stay static, the operator can carry out other tasks — strapping or preparing the next package — while the machine cuts.
FSHK — fixed package, mobile saw
The FSHK model keeps the package stationary and moves the saw unit. It is ideal for precise end cuts, even on edgeless or stacked products with gaps, and its compact dimensions make it a strong option where floor space is limited.
Key features
- Cuts timber packages up to 175 x 175 cm
- Hydraulically rotating guide rail — rotates 90° around a fixed pivot
- Durable guide rail steeled on both sides and reversible in four directions
- Customizable cutting chain — hard-chrome-plated or carbide-tipped, from STIHL
- Manual or electric positioning to suit the operation
- Powerful 11 kW saw drive for efficient cutting
Choosing between SHK and FSHK
The right configuration of the Holtec ES121 crosscut station depends on how your plant works. If your operators need to multitask — strapping, banding or preparing the next package while a cut runs — the SHK model frees them to do so because the saw stays in a fixed position. If your priority is precise end-trimming of stacked or edgeless products, or if floor space is tight, the FSHK model with its moving saw unit is usually the better fit. Our engineers help you match the configuration to your real workflow rather than to a catalogue default.
Built for accuracy and long service life
Holtec engineered the ES121 crosscut station for clean, precise cuts and a long working life. The hydraulically rotating guide rail improves maneuverability, the saw geometry ensures optimal force distribution for clean cuts, and the reversible, double-steeled guide rail extends service intervals. The customizable STIHL cutting chain — available with hard-chrome-plated or carbide-tipped pointed teeth — lets you match the consumable to your timber and budget. Global Wood Machines also supplies all spare parts and compatible option chains for the ES121.
Applications and support
The Holtec ES121 crosscut station is used by sawmills, pallet manufacturers and wood-packaging producers to cut timber packages to length accurately and safely. As a Holtec representative, Global Wood Machines supplies the station with full documentation, catalogue support and Spanish commissioning. It pairs well with the higher-capacity and with automated lines such as our pallet stringer notching machine.
Spare parts, chains and ongoing support
A crosscut station earns its keep only when it is cutting, so parts availability is central to the value of the Holtec ES121 crosscut station. Global Wood Machines supplies all spare parts for the ES121 as well as the full range of compatible STIHL option chains, in hard-chrome-plated and carbide-tipped versions. Guide bar rails, drive components and chain assemblies are stocked or quickly sourced, and our technicians can advise on chain selection for your timber and on maintenance intervals. This ongoing support keeps the station accurate and productive year after year, and protects the value of the original investment.
