Automatic pallet chemical shower station

Pallet chemical shower station with fully automated feeding, wringer and stacking via robotic arms, featuring a programmed tilt pause to effectively drain excess product from the pallet.

The pallet chemical shower station from Global Wood Machines is a fully automated treatment system that applies fungicide, anti-stain and preservative solutions to wooden pallets at industrial throughput. It is built for pallet manufacturers and pallet-pooling operators who need consistent, repeatable chemical treatment without the labour and inconsistency of manual dipping.

How the pallet chemical shower station works

Pallets are fed into the station automatically, showered with the chemical solution, passed through a wringer stage and stacked at the outfeed — every step handled by robotic arms. A programmed tilt pause holds each pallet at an angle so that excess product drains back into the circuit. This single feature reduces chemical consumption, keeps the working area clean and improves the consistency of the finish on every pallet.

The configuration shown in the video runs at a nominal speed of 2 pallets per minute, but throughput is fully customizable. The station dimensions can also be adapted to handle different pallet models, from standard EUR pallets to custom industrial formats.

Corrosion-resistant construction

Chemical treatment agents are aggressive, so the station is built primarily from plastic and stainless steel. This protects the structure against the corrosion caused by fungicides and anti-stain products, extends service life and keeps maintenance requirements low even in continuous operation.

Key features

  • Fully automated feeding, showering, wringing and stacking via robotic arms
  • Programmed tilt pause for efficient draining and lower chemical use
  • Plastic and stainless-steel construction for corrosion resistance
  • Nominal speed of 2 pallets per minute — customizable to your output
  • Adaptable dimensions for different pallet models and sizes

Applications for an automated pallet treatment line

A pallet chemical shower station is essential wherever pallets must be protected against fungus, blue stain, mould or insects before storage, shipment or export. It is widely used by industrial pallet manufacturers, pallet recyclers and exporters who must meet phytosanitary requirements and customer-specific treatment specifications. The station integrates easily with the rest of an automated plant — for example alongside a pallet sorting line or downstream of a CNC pallet nailing table.

Automating treatment also improves workplace safety: operators no longer handle open chemical baths, and exposure is minimised by the enclosed, robotic process. The repeatable cycle means every pallet receives the same dose, which matters when customers audit treatment quality.

Chemical treatment and phytosanitary compliance

Wood that crosses borders is subject to phytosanitary rules, and many buyers also demand protection against blue stain and mould for purely cosmetic and structural reasons. A consistent pallet chemical shower station gives producers a documented, repeatable process they can stand behind. The station handles water-based fungicidal and anti-stain solutions, and the closed-circuit design with its tilt-pause draining keeps consumption — and therefore cost per pallet — under control. Because dosing is uniform, there is far less risk of an under-treated batch slipping through to a customer.

Scope of supply, installation and support

Global Wood Machines supplies the pallet chemical shower station as a new build or as a refurbished unit, and every system is configured to your pallet formats, chemical type and target throughput. The scope of supply typically covers the feeding system, the shower and wringer sections, the robotic stacking, the control system and the safety enclosure. We coordinate freight, installation, commissioning and operator training worldwide, including the USA, Canada, Australia, Europe and the Middle East, and we supply spare parts throughout the life of the machine.

Maintenance and consumables

A pallet chemical shower station is a long-life capital asset, and Joutech designs it to stay that way. The plastic and stainless-steel build resists chemical attack, and the main wear points — nozzles, pumps, seals and the robotic grippers — are standard, accessible components that are quick to service. We supply spare parts throughout the life of the machine and can advise on a preventive maintenance schedule so the station keeps running at its rated throughput. Because the closed-circuit design recovers and reuses chemical product, consumable cost per pallet stays low even as production volume grows.
